Luke Parker’s brother Zack becomes a superhero when Zorbon the Decider, an alien, puts him in charge of defeating Nemesis who is coming to destroy Earth. It is up to Luke to help Zack to learn how to be a superhero, uncover his powers, save him from his kidnappers, and keep his identity hidden. I loved My Brother is a Superhero because it is full of page turning suspense that makes you keep reading. If I were the author, I wouldn’t change anything because there is no room for improvement in this book. If I were David, I would come up with a better excuse to his parents than “I’m dating Lara”. If I could pick one juicy word to describe My Brother is a Superhero it would be superb because it is a truly fantastical read. This book is for everyone and everyone who is up to a little adventure.

Ezekiel (Zeke) Reynolds is a Random- He was one of the four humans chosen by their fantastic skills and abilities to represent Earth in the Confederation of United Planets; Zeke was chosen at random. He soon realizes that most of the aliens are up against him (along with some humans), and he soon is known as a war criminal. I loved this book because it made space travel, which is normally difficult to understand, a whole lot easier- while adding in some new fun. If I were the author, I wouldn’t change any part of Randoms because it is an amazing sci-fi novel that keeps you reading- no change would make it better. If I were Zeke, I would have told Nayana to get her own sparkling water and limes instead of using me as her servant. If I could pick one juicy word to describe Randoms it would be awe-inspiring because this book is amazing in the most marvelous sense. This book is for all sci-fi geeks everywhere- if you got a kick out of Randoms, try its amazing sequel, Rebels, and the third book, Renegade!

How to (Almost) Ruin Your Summer

Title of Book: How to (Almost) Ruin Your Summer

Chloe McCorkle, a girl with absolutely no talent for animals, needs to earn money to buy a new bike- by decorating cupcakes for her neighbor’s Ice Cream Parlor. Her parents send her to summer camp, where she is put in charge of a goat named King Arthur instead of the cake decorating class. Could Chloe’s summer get any worse? I loved this book because it kept me on my toes with the hilarious pages full of suspense. If I were the author, I wouldn’t change one part of How to (Almost) Ruin Your Summer because it is amazing and keeps the reader entertained with lots of detail. If I were Chloe, I would have told my parents that I didn’t bring Mr. Snuffles to camp on purpose, so he wouldn’t get ruined and I wouldn’t get teased. If I could pick one juicy word to describe How to (Almost) Ruin Your Summer, it would be fantastic because it teaches an important lesson and keeps the reader interested.
This book is for everyone and everyone of all ages- including goats!
