In The Duel In the Desert, Neil Flambe’s restaurant, Chez Flambe, got
demolished. So, Neil and his cousin, Larry, go to the Broiling Man Food-Truck
Festival. Where Neil realizes that Salsa Verde Ranch is scheduled for
demolition. I loved this book book because I am a real foodie, I love to cook,
and I like mysteries and adventure. If I could change something about The Duel In the Desert it would be would be that Larry made less
food puns. If I were Neil, I would have realized quicker that you put a cake on
a skillet upside down earlier. One word to describe this book is scrumptious. The Duel In the Desert is an amazing
book, and I think you should all read it. WAIT!! First, read the rest of the
Neil Flambe series, and I recommend this book to every chef in the world and
everyone else, too.
