Wonder book review

Wonder Blog Book Review
Name of Reviewer: Joaquin
Title of Book: Wonder
Author of Book: R.J Palacio
# of pages:  314
# AR points: 11                                    RL: 4.8
The book Wonder is about August, a deformed boy, going to school for the first time and he is nervous.  I loved Wonder because he is a nervous wreck and he doesn’t have that many friends.  He is trying to be looked at like he is a normal kid, can he do it? Read to find out.  If I was the author, I wouldn’t change anything because R.J Palacio made the book perfectly.  If I was August, I would have done exactly the same thing that he did to solve the problem because he did it almost perfectly.  The juicy word I would pick would be inspiring because the book Wonder inspired me to become a better person.  I would recommend this book to people all ages because you will learn a few lessons and how hard life is for people like August.

11 Birthdays RVW

Amanda and Leo have been friends since they were babies and celebrated all their birthdays together but Leo says some mean words that Amanda overhears on their 10th  birthday.  I really enjoyed 11 Birthdays  because it was full of adventure and whenever I turned the page there was a new problem.  I would not change anything about this book  because I love all the twists and by changing something it would ruin one of the twists. If I were a character in 11 Birthdays, I would solve the problem the same way because there is no other way to solve it. One juicy word to describe the book would be MAGIC because they are repeating their birthday because of magic.  I could not put 11 Birthdays down because every time I turned the page I would want to read more!

Then she meets a girl named Lizzie who is quite a troublemaker… But turns out to be a great friend.. I loved this book and would never change a word in this book!!  If I where Poppy I would change the part when Poppy goes in Gunners cage because she could have been hurt.  One juicy word I would use to describe this book is a INTRIGUING because it’s so fascinating and really kept my interest. Read A Million Ways Home and you will see life differently.

Pie is a book filled with mystery, adventure, and of course food. If you like these types of books, then Pie is the book for you. Pie is about an amazing woman named Polly Portman who makes pies and has won 13 Blueberry awards for her outstanding pies. Unfortunately, she passes away and leaves her famous recipes to her CAT, Lardo, and leaves Lardo with her niece ,Alice Anderson. Everyone in the town is dying to find out her amazing pie crust recipe. I loved Pie , although it was really sad, but I still loved it because I love adventures, mystery and food. If I were the author, I would not change a thing about the book because I loved every part of Pie. If I were Alice, I would have solved the problem the same way she did. If I could choose a word to describe this book, I would choose delicious because I think if I tried one of Polly’s pies I would LOVE it. So, if you want to find out what lies ahead, then click on the link above and it will take you to www.amazon.com.  You can buy the book, and there you have it: it’s yours!! And if you do read Pie, I bet you you’ll love it just like me! Oh, and one more thing, every time you start a new chapter, there is a real pie recipe!!

Click this  link to buy Maggie and Oliver from amazon  if you are interested!

Prepare to read the amazing, and wonderful Maggie and Oliver or a Bone of One’s Own by Valerie Hobbs. This adventure is about young ten year old orphan, Maggie, who works for Madame Dinglebush and orphaned dog, Oliver, who’s owner, Bertie, passes away and gets taken somewhere far away. Oliver is in search of Bertie and Maggie got kicked out by madame because she spoke to The Duchess of Landsaway when she was not suppose to. So now they are both starving and homeless. There is a lesson in this book and that is that a miracle can happen when something unexpectedly bad happens.  At the beginning I was very sad but when I was in the middle I started to cheer up , then when I was almost the end I said “ Oh No!” But when I got to the very end I was supper happy and I also was a tiny bit sad and that was only because I didn’t want it to end. If I could change one part I would make Bertie The Duchess of Landsaway’s sister, so it would be so much more interesting. There is a word I would choose to describe this book and it is thrive because i don’t know how they thrived to survived with no food for so long. I loved Maggie and Oliver because there had a really exciting ending and if you want to know the ending than just  BUY THE BOOK by clicking on the amazon link above and purchasing it and BOOM it's yours!! Then, Hopefully you will read it and love it too (just like me)!!!

Double Fudge Book Review By: Ella

:           Double Fudge is about a little boy who creates an obsession  with money.  I loved this book because when your reading this book you feel like you are there.  But beware, it has so much little brother drama and odd things! The little brother is going crazy about money; he won’t stop talking about money, money and, money all the time. I would change the part when the little brother (Fudge) gets a new best friend and instead Peter ( the big brother) gets a best friend because something happened between him and his best friend. If I were Peter I just would tell Fudge that he couldn’t buy New York instead of telling him that the Dutch bought it for only Twenty-Four dollars. One juicy word that I would describe this book is BREATHE TAKING because you never want to stop reading this book!!! Read Double Fudge and this book will change your life; I promise!

Pie is an amazing book that will blow your mind. I love Pie so much because the book has so much detail you feel like the book is alive. Although there is a really sad moment in the book everyone should still read it because it an extraordinary book. I would change the part where Alice finds her friend in Polly’s apartment after the tragedy because I feel it is sort of rude how Alice’s friend goes into Alice’s aunts apartment when he didn’t get permission. If I were Polly, I would have solved the problem by just telling Alice the recipe so nothing bad happens. If I could pick a juicy word, it would be breathtaking. Once you read Pie, you will never think of pies the same way because there is a amazing story with mystery, comedy, and sadness all about a pie crust recipe.
