The Treasure Hunters  is a book with mystery, action, and humor! I liked the book because it was full of cliffhangers, and it took me into this world where anything is possible. If I were the author, I would change when the big storm caused the Lost (the ship) to fill with water because the Lost would get damaged. If I were a character in the book, I would have solved the problem by giving the location of the bad guy to the CIA so they could arrest the bad guy. If I could pick one JUICY WORD to describe the book, the word would be adventurous because the book is full of adventure and action. If you like mystery, action, adventure, and humor, I personally advise you to stop what you are doing and read TREASURE HUNTERS!

Author of Book: Chris Grabenstein

# of pages: 288

# AR points:    7.0                               RL: 4th grade

Book is found in Miss Q’s Library.

Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library is a thrilling story with a kid who loves games but as soon he learns that the greatest game maker ever is coming to town, everything changes. I love the book because of all the thrilling cliffhangers and the amazing page-turner. If I were the author, I would the probably change the ending because of how the players won. If I were Kyle, I would solve my problem by letting more people join my group. If I could choose one word to describe the book, it would be page-turning because it was a page-turner. Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library is probably the best book I have ever read.

Big Game is the third book of the FunJungle Series and it has action, drama, and adventure all in one book! I enjoyed reading it because it has nail biting cliff-hangers! If I could change one part of the book, I would change the part the elephants were loose because they destroyed  A LOT of stores! If I was Teddy in the book, I would’ve investigated the Rhino keeper. If I could choose one word to describe the book, I would choose nail biting because in this book you can’t wait to see happens next! I really enjoyed reading Big Game, and I hope I convinced you to read it, too!

Jorgie's book review of The Battle of The Labyrinth

The Battle of The Labyrinth  book  review

Percy Jackson books are always amazing but The Battle of The Labyrinth is the best yet. There are suprises in every corner and a lot of action. I like this book because it’s the perfect mix of action and comedy. I would have solved the problem by killing Kronos before he got revived. The only thing I would change in this book is that I would want Nico to stay at camp because he is the most important (and my favorite) character in the book. I would describe this book as action packed because there is a battle on every page. The Battle of The Labyrinth is hilarious and full of adventure, and it will definitely keep you hooked!

Daniela's Out of My Mind Book Review

Title of Book: Out of my Mind
Author of Book: Sharon M. Draper
# of pages: 295
# AR points:8.0                                  RL: 4.3

Out of My Mind is a heart-warming story and its rich with incredibly realistic details, it will leave you wanting for more. Eleven-year-old Melody has cerebral palsy, and she can’t walk, talk, or even write! She’s the smartest kid in her whole school, and no one even acknowledges it! Not even her teachers or doctors. Melody goes to a special class for disabled children, and all she does there is consistently recites the alphabet over and go ever theover again. Everyone thinks she’s incapable of learning, and it makes her go out of her mind, so, she tries to prove to everyone out there that just because she’s physically disabled, doesn’t mean her mind  is limited to a world of knowledge. There is absolutely nothing to change about this book, the author has created this book perfectly. I couldn’t have worded it better myself. One juicy word I would use to describe Out of my Mind  is moving, because this book is so touching, and it makes me feel warm inside. Read Out of my Mind, and it will make you think differently about a child in a wheelchair.

# of pages: 322
# AR points:    6.0                               RL: 5.3
If you like books with comedy, mystery, and excitement,  read: This Journal Belongs to Ratchet. It is about about a girl named Ratchet who just wants to be a normal eleven year old girl. Ratchet’s life is the opposite of normal. She is home schooled by her dad who spends most of his time in the garage fixing cars, her mom died when she was little, her dad has no sense of style and gets her clothes at Goodwill and Salvation Army, and her dad is all about saving the environment. Ratchet’s dad is trying to save Moss Tree Park from being turned into a strip mall. A problem in this book is that Ratchet doesn’t really know much about her mother. All she knows is that she died when she was little; but will Ratchet find out more about her mother and her past…… I loved this book because every time you turn the page it just keeps getting more and more exciting. I would not change a word in this book because it is so well written. One juicy word I would use to describe this book is CAPTIVATING because it kept my interest through the whole book. I reccomend  this book to ages 8 and up. Read This Journal Belongs to Ratchet and you will never want to stop reading.

Tales From A Not-So-Dorky Drama Queen is a hilarious and entertaining book with humorous adventures about a middle school girl named Nikki Maxwell. I absolutely enjoyed this book because I like books that are funny and amusing, but also have crazy adventures. If I were the author, I would change nothing about Tales From A Not-So-Dorky Drama Queen because this book is spectacular and there is nothing to change! If I was Nikki Maxwell, I would’ve solved the problem by suspecting it was Mackenzie Hollister who stole my dairy. So, I would have somehow taken the book back away from her. If it belonged to me, I would have told the principal. One juicy word to describe Tales From a Not-So-Dorky Drama Queen is ADVENTURESOME because this book may be comical, but it also has a lot of adventures in it, too! I recommend this book for ages 10 and up. Read Tales From a Not-So-Dorky Drama Queen, and it will change your life forever!

Pie is an amazing book that will blow your mind. I love Pie so much because the book has so much detail you feel like the book is alive. Although there is a really sad moment in the book everyone should still read it because it an extraordinary book. I would change the part where Alice finds her friend in Polly’s apartment after the tragedy because I feel it is sort of rude how Alice’s friend goes into Alice’s aunts apartment when he didn’t get permission. If I were Polly, I would have solved the problem by just telling Alice the recipe so nothing bad happens. If I could pick a juicy word, it would be breathtaking. Once you read Pie, you will never think of pies the same way because there is a amazing story with mystery, comedy, and sadness all about a pie crust recipe.
