Refugee is a story about 3 kids that go on different trips that risked their lives.  Josef is a 13 year old boy in 1939 who escapes Nazi Germany on a crew ship to Cuba.  Mahmoud is a kid in Aleppo,Syria who escapes Aleppo from Assad.   Isabel is a girl in Cuba who is planning to escape with her next door neighbors on a ship/raft to Miami,Florida.  I liked Refugee because it was an interesting book with an action packed story and sad parts. If I had to change where Isabel, her family, and her next door neighbors see their son Ivan get eaten by sharks. If I were a character in the book I would be Luis the police officer so I can stop the protests. If I had to solve the problem by not letting Ivan go in the water.  If I could pick one juicy word to describe the book it would definitely be adventure.   If you like adventure and drama, then Refugee is the book for you.

If you like spies and suspense, you have to read Spy School Revolution because every page you turn you learn something new about the book.  Like one page you're reading about breaking into  Mount Vernon and the next page you're running away from someone in a carriage.  If I were the author, I would change the way they broke into Mount Vernon because they only used a boat and it would be more impressive if they used a submarine. If I were a character,  I would solve the problem by reviewing the footage of Erica shooting at the CIA headquarters.  If I could pick one juicy word I would pick entertaining because there are twists and turns to the story.  After reading this review, I hope you want to read Spy School Revolution soon.

Spy School Goes South is one of my favorite books from Stuart Gibbs! It contains AWESOME cliff hangers, action, and dramatic scenes! The book was amazing, and it is one of the best from the Spy School Series. I like it because the spies in-training go to a different country. If I could change one part of the book, I would change the part the spies in-training expose the gun dealer in the bathroom. If I was Ben Ripely in Spy School, I would’ve broken into Joshua’s room much earlier because he wouldn’t have to been pressured. One great word to describe this book would be dramatic because the book is filled with it! Spy School Goes South is one of the best books ever! I’m excited about what Stuart Gibbs is going to make next!

In Belly Up there are many exciting stories and mysteries, and if you like mysteries then this is the book for you.  I really liked this book because its full of adventure and excitement.   If I were the author I would change the part where Teddy finds a shoe print outside his trailer and change it to Teddy getting kidnapped by Buck because it would make the book more exciting and there would be a lot more mystery.  If I was a character in this book, I would solve the problem where the Mamba gets out of the cage and then I would catch the Mamba instead of being scared.  A word that is super juicy and describes this book is extraordinary, I would choose this word because I think this book is fantastic and it is the best book I have ever read in my whole life.  I recommend Belly Up to everyone that reads my book review and every one in the whole world.

If you have never read Lion Down before, then you must not be alive! Lion Down was one of the best books I have ever read in my entire life! If I was the author I would change the part where Teddy, Tommy, and Summer is investigating and Lincoln Stone comes in the crime scene and yells at Teddy, Summer, and Tommy to get away because I think that was mean of him and he didn’t have any proof that a mountain lion killed his own dog. If I was the main character is this book, I would have suspected that Grayson’s mallet could have killed Lincoln’s dog in the first place. If I could choose one juicy word for this book, it would be Astonishing. My final remarks of Lion Down is to read that any second you have some free time because Lion Down  is amazing!

I think you should read Riding Freedom  because it is about a girl named Charlotte whose parants died and she escapes an orphanage.  Whether you liked the book or not and why  loved this book because it has a lot of drama and horses .  If I where the author of this book, I would change the part where Miss Boil hides Charlotte in the potato bin because I think it is like child cruelty.  If I where a character in this book I would tell the police that they where lying and doing child cruelty.  If I picked a juicy word for the book, it would be outstanding because it had a lot of drama.  I recommend Riding Freedom if you like adventures and historical fiction.

Love That Dog is awesome. Its one of my favorite books. Love That Dog is a fantastic book I loved it because you could never tell what was going to happen next.  If I was Jack, I would have started poems at the start of the book.  If I had to change one part, about Love That Dog, it would be the really sad part.  If I had to say one word about this book, it would be unpredictable because you could not tell what was going to happen next.  If I were you, I would read Love That Dog.

The Charmed Children of Rookskill Castle

Title of Book: The Charmed Children of Rookskill Castle
Author of Book: Janet Fox
# of pages: 388
# AR points: 12.0                                RL: 5.0
Katherine Bateson, a young girl of 12, doesn’t believe in magic. During the Blitz, her great aunt gives her a chatelaine she claims is magical and Kat is sent to Rookskill Castle, a ‘safe place where there are no spies’. Kat starts doubting that magic isn’t real when she arrives, with the seemingly changing halls and the dissappearance of children, one by one. I loved this The Charmed Children of Rookskill Castle because it is filled with puzzles, and each page is filled with details more vivid than a movie.  If I were the author, I would not change any part of this book because if I did, the book would not be half as good as it is now. If I were Kat, I would have solved the problem differently, but I would not have been able to save the kids because Kat is much cleverer then I am. If I were to pick one juicy word to describe this book, it would be extraordinary because The Charmed Children of Rookskill Castle stands out from all the other books, with magic and Blitz spies. The Charmed Children of Rookskill Castle is a book for anyone of all ages.

Kat, Incorrigible

Name of Reviewer: Sindhu
Title of Book: Kat, Incorrigible
Author of Book: Stephanie Burgis
# of pages: 298
# AR points: 10. 0                               RL: 5.0

Katherine Ann Stephenson has inherited her mother’s magic abilities, but all they lead her to is scolding from her evil stepmother; when she finds her mother’s magic mirror in the forbidden room in her house, she realizes that her magic is riskier than she thought.  I loved Kat, Incorrigible because it is so humorous and wonderfully detailed, like a slideshow of colorful words and pictures. If I were the author, I would not change one part of this book because if I did, it would knock out the smooth flow of words descending from the minds of the author. If I were Kat, I would have solved the problem the same way she did because   she did it so perfectly, with laughter, attitude, and good problem solving.  One juicy word to describe this book is captivating because it is very enticing and it is another one of those books that have super sticky pages; you can’t pry your fingers off. I think Kat, Incorrigible is a book for anyone of any age and hope you read and enjoy it.

Warning!!!  The following  summary of Treasure Hunters Peril at the Top of the World is a awesome book (best book of the series). I liked the book because I love adventure and mysterious books . If I had to change one part of the story, it would be when their dad left and when  he came back. If I were a character, I would solve the problem by being their dog so that I could get all the information they needed to get back their dad. If I had to pick the best word for this book, it would be mysterious because you would never know what might happen next.  I guarantee you will love Treasure Hunters Peril at the Top of the World because it will give you a laugh and, you will learn about these Kidds’ hysterical life.

Luck Uglies Book Review

Name of Reviewer: Sindhu
Title of Book: The Luck Uglies
Author of Book: Paul Durham
# of pages: 387
# AR points: 12                                               RL: 5.5

In a quaint, little cottage there lives an unusual, risk taking, little girl named Riley O’Chantler with her peculiar mother, who keeps a knife called Fair Warning in a sheath strapped to her thigh- don’t worry, that knife is used for cutting vegetables. . . mostly.  Riley’s little sister, Lottie, who is impossible to potty train, also lives with them and is a bit odd.  Riley had a father who supposedly was a solider and went to Beyond the Shale, a land that people get sucked into and once there, never return home.  Riley has a close encounter with a Bog Noblin, a huge, ugly, creature who eats children and collects their feet.  I loved The Luck Uglies because it was full of fantasy and adventure, drawing the reader’s imagination into a whole new world with Bog Noblins and mean kings.  If I were the author, I would better describe Beyond the Shale so that the reader would understand it clearly.  If I were Rye, I would most definitely make a hasty retreat instead of standing with my feet fixed to the ground and screaming when a Bog Noblin was about to eat me.  If I had to pick a word to describe this book, it would be fantasy because the tales in this book could never happen in real life . . . or could they?  I strongly recommend The Luck Uglies to you if you are the type of person to enjoy a little bit of terror mixed with mischief and adventure.
