All Four Stars book review by Ceci

All Four Stars is about a girl named Gladys Gatsby that loves to cook, and review food. Gladys is not allowed to cook, because she set the curtains on fire. One day the New York Standard, a famous magazine company e-mailed her to be a food critic. Can she keep her new job a secret? I loved this book so much, because it is so adventurous, with many problems that occur constantly. If I were the author of this book, I would change the part when Charissa decides to invite one person to her birthday party and instead she would bring at least two friends. If I were Gladys, I would solve the problem about the New York Standard by calling or e-mailing them that her letter was for the contest and not a letter from a adult that wants to be a food citic. One juicy word that I would use to describe this book is adventurous, because the book is full with adventures. All Four Stars is a great book that everyone would love, even if they aren’t into cooking!

In Neil Flambé and the Crusader’s Curse, Neil Flambé and his partner Larry Flambé have been working hard on mysteries, but this crusader mystery is really stumping them with all these clues. Some clues don’t even make sense! Neil and Larry don’t know what to do and time is ticking. I liked Neil Flambé and the Crusader’s Curse because I never could tell what was going to happen next. If I was the author, I wouldn’t change anything from this book because Kevin Sylvester wrote it perfectly. If I was a character in the book, I would of just done what Neil did but a little bit earlier in the book. If I could pick one word to describe Neil Flambé and the Crusader’s Curse, it would be unpredictable because I could not predict that the book would go down like that. Neil Flambés career could go up in flames or succeed and rise to the top? Read Neil Flambé and the Crusaders Curse to find out.

In The Duel In the Desert, Neil Flambe’s restaurant, Chez Flambe, got demolished. So, Neil and his cousin, Larry, go to the Broiling Man Food-Truck Festival. Where Neil realizes that Salsa Verde Ranch is scheduled for demolition. I loved this book book because I am a real foodie, I love to cook, and I like mysteries and adventure. If I could change something about The Duel In the Desert  it would be would be that Larry made less food puns. If I were Neil, I would have realized quicker that you put a cake on a skillet upside down earlier. One word to describe this book is scrumptious. The Duel In the Desert is an amazing book, and I think you should all read it. WAIT!! First, read the rest of the Neil Flambe series, and I recommend this book to every chef in the world and everyone else, too.

If you want to read a great book with plenty of mystery, adventure, and of course plenty of delicious food about a chef/detective then read Neil Flambé and the Bard’s Banquet. I loved the book because I love a great mystery with adventure, and I just had to keep turning the pages. If I was the author, I would not change a thing because I could not think of a better way to connect all the clues to solve the problem. If I was a character in the book, I would have solved the problem the same way they did because each clue leads to another, and there would have been no other way to solve the problem. One descriptive word to describe this book is a mystery because you always try to guess what’s going to happen next. If you want to read the best mystery ever, and have your mouth water, read Neil Flambé and the Bard’s Banquet!

I loved reading Neil Flambe and the Marco Polo Murders because the book is about a mystery
about many chefs dying around town.  If you like food you will love this book. I would not change anything in the book because If I was in the book I wold have solved the problem just like Neil
because he was very clever. A word that describes Neil Flambe and the Marco Polo Murders is delicious

because the whole book is related to food. If you love food you have found the perfect series to read.

Carlos' Pie book review

The book Pie is the most intriguing book I have ever read. I loved this book because with every page you turn you find a new mystery. It is about an awesome aunt that has won 14 Blueberries, an award for making delicious pies, that has just died and left her recipe to her cat, Lardo. She also left her cat Lardo to her niece Alice. Will people try to steal Lardo and try to get the recipe to win a Blueberry and become rich? If I were the author, I would change the part when Lardo got put to sleep by sleeping powder. I would change it to Lardo getting tranquilized and falling asleep. If I were Alice, I would have solved the problem by going to the police first and not trying to solve who wanted my Aunt Polly’s pie recipe by myself. If I would to describe this book with a juicy word, it would be breathtaking because Pie is full of breathtaking recipes and mysteries. If you read Pie, you will change the way you think of pies forever and ever!!!
