If you like interesting and mystery books, Tales from a Not-So-Talented Pop Star is the book for you. In the beginning of the book, there were a lot of bugs at Nikki Maxwell’s school but the problem is her dad is the school exterminator and she does not want him to come to her school. The only reason she goes to her school is because she got a scholarship when her dad became the school exterminator. Nikki tells the principal that her father is too busy and can’t come to exterminate, so she loses her scholarship. Read the book to see if she gets her scholarship back. I loved this book because I love reading  interesting books and this book is definitely interesting. Every time I picked the book up I could never stop reading. If I was the author, I would not change anything because the book is already amazing and there is nothing for you to fix. If I was Nikki, I would just tell my parents if I lost  my scholarship because if they found out I lost the scholarship they would be mad I did not tell them. If I could pick one juicy word, it would be fascinating because the story is really fascinating and  definitely a good book to read. So, make sure to read Tales from a Not-So-Talented Pop Star once you start reading you will never want to stop, trust me. So, make sure after you finish reading this post, go to your local library, school library if you go to school, or click the amazon link above.

If you are reading this then the name Spy Camp caught your eye but before you read this, read the first book Spy School before your read the rest of this review I have. In the beginning of the story Ben goes to Spy Camp. Then receives a letter from SPYDER,  the enemy organization, asking him to join. So the CSI decides to hide him in the wild. Instead, the plan stops when SPYDER finds the bus Ben is on. Want to know more READ THE BOOK. My favorite part of the book is when they dive of the bridge in to the river. If I was the author I would not change a single thing about the book because the plot is perfect. If I could choose one word to describe this book it would be ACTION because the action in this book never stops. If I was Ben I would have done every thing the same way he did it because I can’t think of another or better way to solve this problem. I absolutely loved this book but to love this book you NEED to read the first book. If you liked this review get the book from the amazon link and leave a comment! I will also leave a link to Spy School.

Chomp is about a boy named Wahoo Cray and his Dad, Mickey Cray. The Cray’s backyard is a zoo, literally, they have alligators, snakes, raccoon , monkeys and a lot more types of wild animals. I loved this book because it was filled with adventure and problem solving and that makes a great story. If I were the author I wouldn’t change anything about the story because it all made sense to me. If I were Wahoo I would solve the problem by doing the same thing Wahoo did because I thought it was the smartest way. A really juicy word to describe the book would be adventuresome because it really represents the story well. I would really recommend Chomp to you and that is why I gave you the amazon link. Just in case you are not so sure you want to get it, amazon lets you read a couple pages of it. And if you do read it, I hope you enjoy it!!

The Duel in the Desert is a mysterious book that makes you want took keep on turning the pages. It is a book about a quest that Neil and Larry have to search for a gold mine... I loved the book more than any other book in the series because the mysteries take longer to solve. I wouldn’t change anything because the book is perfect the way it is. I would have solved the problem just like Neil and Larry because I am a good problem solver. A word that describes this book is mysterious because you never know what will happen next. If you love mysteries the Neil Flambé series is the Perfect series for you.

If you want to read a great book with plenty of mystery, adventure, and of course plenty of delicious food about a chef/detective then read Neil Flambé and the Bard’s Banquet. I loved the book because I love a great mystery with adventure, and I just had to keep turning the pages. If I was the author, I would not change a thing because I could not think of a better way to connect all the clues to solve the problem. If I was a character in the book, I would have solved the problem the same way they did because each clue leads to another, and there would have been no other way to solve the problem. One descriptive word to describe this book is a mystery because you always try to guess what’s going to happen next. If you want to read the best mystery ever, and have your mouth water, read Neil Flambé and the Bard’s Banquet!

Do you want to read a marvelous story that you will remember for the rest of you life? If you do, then I have  the perfect book for you: The City of Ember. This story is about Doon and Lina trying to desperately to decode the instructions (if I told you what the instructions where for, I could have spoiled the book). I really enjoyed it and I think you would like it also. If I where the author. I would make in the year 2000 over the year 247. If I where Lina Mayfleet or Doon Harrow, I would have stopped Poppy from tearing the instructions to shreds. (that would have saved a lot of time). This book is just too amazing for me and I hope you can read the book. If I had to choose one word to describe this story it would be instructions. The top link is only for this book and the bottom link is for the series. If you want to read an exiting story I think you found the perfect book for you, The City of Ember.

If you like books with comedy, mystery, and excitement,  read: This Journal Belongs to Ratchet. It is about about a girl named Ratchet who just wants to be a normal eleven year old girl. Ratchet’s life is the opposite of normal. She is home schooled by her dad who spends most of his time in the garage fixing cars, her mom died when she was little, her dad has no sense of style and gets her clothes at Goodwill and Salvation Army, and her dad is all about saving the environment. Ratchet’s dad is trying to save Moss Tree Park from being turned into a strip mall. A problem in this book is that Ratchet doesn’t really know much about her mother. All she knows is that she died when she was little; but will Ratchet find out more about her mother and her past…… I loved this book because every time you turn the page it just keeps getting more and more exciting. I would not change a word in this book because it is so well written. One juicy word I would use to describe this book is CAPTIVATING because it kept my interest through the whole book. I reccomend  this book to ages 8 and up. Read This Journal Belongs to Ratchet and you will never want to stop reading.

“Tales From A Not-So-Popular Party Girl” is a FABULOUS book about a girl named Nikki Maxwell who is starting middle school. Nikki has three friends Chloe, Zoey, and her crush Brandon, plus the popular girl Mackenzie Hollister, who is ruining her life.  I loved the book because it was really dramatic and funny to read. If I  could change anything about the book, I would not make Nikki wear the rat costume because it made the book a little confusing because Nikki had to keep on changing her costumes. If I was Nikki, I would just tell Brandon, Chloe, and Zoey the truth so I wouldn’t have to go through all the trouble of changing her costumes  all the time.  One juicy word to describe the book would be dramatic, but a good dramatic. I really recommend “Tales From A Not-So- Popular Party Girl” to anyone that likes dramatic and funny books.

If you want to read about a boy with powers or a boy that lives in a grave yard read on because The Grave Yard Book has both of those things. I personally loved the book because it had what I like in a book because it had mysteries and puzzles. The part I would change is the part when the ghost starts singing” all shall dance the mackaray” to some thing else because the song never made sense and it never explained it. If I was a character, I would have solved the problem by getting the main character a gun like Taser. The one juicy word would be dangerous because the main character is hunted by at least a thousand people. I would recommend this book to people that like adventure  books because this book has lots of adventures . If you like this, book review, read The Grave Yard Book by buying the book on the link above.

Tales From A Not-So-Dorky Drama Queen is a hilarious and entertaining book with humorous adventures about a middle school girl named Nikki Maxwell. I absolutely enjoyed this book because I like books that are funny and amusing, but also have crazy adventures. If I were the author, I would change nothing about Tales From A Not-So-Dorky Drama Queen because this book is spectacular and there is nothing to change! If I was Nikki Maxwell, I would’ve solved the problem by suspecting it was Mackenzie Hollister who stole my dairy. So, I would have somehow taken the book back away from her. If it belonged to me, I would have told the principal. One juicy word to describe Tales From a Not-So-Dorky Drama Queen is ADVENTURESOME because this book may be comical, but it also has a lot of adventures in it, too! I recommend this book for ages 10 and up. Read Tales From a Not-So-Dorky Drama Queen, and it will change your life forever!

Dork Diaries is the best book series ever and my favorite is Tales From A Not So Perfect Fabulous Life. The book is about this girl called Nikki that just moved and goes to a new school.  Her locker is next to the most popular girl’s in 8th grade but she is really mean to Nikki. If you like funny books, you would like to read it. If I were the author, I wouldn’t change anything because it’s perfect the way it is and it is really, I mean really, funny. Tales From a Not-So-Popular Party Girl is the most humorous book I’ve ever read in my life! I thought Tales From a Not-So-Popular Party Girl was a great book because I felt so sneaky since it felt like I was reading someone else’s diary, and I also like that the author, Rachel Renèe Russell, made Nikki Maxwell, the main character, very creative! Like when Nikki came up with a Tooth Fairy Repellent for her little sister, Brianna. If I were the author, I would change that Mackenzie Hollister doesn’t steal Nikki’s duffel bag with her clothes in it under the stall in the restroom, at the Annual Halloween party, because that’s not fair to Nikki. So many bad things have happened to Nikki and so many good things have happened to Mackenzie Hollister. If I were Nikki Maxwell, I would tell Chloe and Zoey that I couldn’t be trash bags for Halloween like they wanted to and tell them Brandon asked me to the Halloween Dance and I don’t want to look embarrassed. If I could pick one juicy word to describe Tales From a Not-So-Popular Party Girl, I would choose dramatic because this book is so dramatic because Nikki is dealing with bratty Mackenzie Hollister, Brandon, her annoying sister, her parents, and Zoey and Chloe, her immature best friends.  Even if you are not a big fan of books, read Tales From a Not-So-Popular Party Girl, and you will end up falling in love with this series!

Title of Book: The Orphan of Ellis Island
Author of Book: Elvira Woodruff
# of pages: 167
# AR points: 5                         RL: 4.9

The Orphan of Ellis Island is a book with extraordinary events and experiences that are sometimes sad. I really loved reading The Orphan of Ellis Island because this book is filled with unexpected moments and lots of adventures in a lot of different places. This book is also filled with many emotions, happiness, sadness, scariness, and even nervousness; books like this are books for me. The author of The Orphan of Ellis Island, Elvira Woodruff makes you want to never stop reading her books. If I were the author, I wouldn’t change any part of this book because everything is perfect the way it is; there is nothing to change. If I were a character in the book, I would’ve stopped Salvatore from eating cherry pits so that he wouldn’t die. Also, I would change the part when the three Candiano brothers and Dominic are supposed to get on the boat to go to America and instead they would just stay in hiding until later. If there was one word to describe The Orphan of Ellis Island, I would choose thrilling because this book has a lot of exciting moments and adventures throughout the entire book. Read The Orphan of Ellis Island and it will definitely bring adventure into your life.

Hoot is a great story where Roy has just moved from Montana to Florida, “Cool” he thought as he found out about the new Mother Paula’s Pancake House, but later he finds out about the owls. What will he do? I loved this book because this book makes you realize that you have to stand up for what is right. If I was the author, I would not make Lonna so harsh to Mullet Fingers. If I was Roy, I would have stopped the vandalism and figured it out without any sabotaging. One juicy word I would use to describe this book is brave because these kids have to be brave to stand up for what they believe in, even if they are at risk. Hoot is a great and fascinating book which I recommend to… anyone. Happy Reading!!!

Treasure Hunter 3 by LUCAS

The treasure-hunting Kidd family is doing everything to find their lost parents. But with their parents enemies trying to get to them, it will be hard. But with Bick, Beck, Storm, and Tommy Kidd, it should not be hard unless you have to go against the world’s best German treasure hunter, Dionysus Streckting. Without any news about their parents even being alive, the kids need to come together and battle or else they have no shot of finding their parents. It will be a risky move, but if you are the Kidds, anything is possible. Trust me, it’s an adventure in a book!!!!

Title of Book: The Edge (Sequel to bestselling book Peak)
Author of Book: Roland Smith
# of pages: 236
# AR points:    8                                  RL: 4.4

The Edge is an interesting and exciting book with many different emotions. Peak is a teenage boy whose desire is to climb anything. He is invited to a Peace Climb in Afghanistan and things go terribly wrong.  I loved this book because you start reading this exciting and happy book and then all of a sudden you are struck by surprise events in the book. If I was the author of The Edge, I would change how many people die in the book because it is way too many. I would not change that all the people die even though it is sad, because it brings a lot of character to the book. If I was Peak, I would have solved the problem by listening to the wiser adults and drunken more water on the 110 Fahrenheit degree mountain. One juicy word to describe this book is Emotional because there is happiness in some parts and sadness in others. I would recommend this book to the readers that love exciting adventures.               The Eighth Day is an amazing book full of wondrous adventures and excitement, too. I really did enjoy reading this book because it’s filled with all the adventures I love. It has some scary adventures, mysteries and lots of problems that you want to find out. The author Dianne K. Salerni makes you want to live in that book and never put it down. If I would have to change something, I would change that none of the bad guys would live in The Eighth Day because they don’t deserve to live in The Eighth Day since they want to zap all the other seven days out of existence! If I were Jax Aubrey, I would solve the problem by using powers to gather up other powers and use it quickly on the bad guys. One juicy word to describe The Eighth Day is adventurous because almost during the whole book your’e in one place, then another, and your’e everywhere. Read The Eighth Day, and it will change your life forever!
