Thomas can’t remember his last name,
parents, home, life, or age when he wakes up in a mysterious place where there
are only boys called Gladers. They are trapped in a place that they call the
Glade, and there are doors that they have to enter to get to the Maze, which is
unsolvable and unfortunately, the only way to get home. I loved The Maze
Runner because of the suspense and thrill. If I were the author, I
wouldn’t change any part of this book because it was all so perfectly written,
with sadness at just the right times and thrill in every corner. If I were
Thomas, I would have solved the problem the same way he did because he solved
the problem perfectly, even with the sorrow included. A
juicy word I would use to describe this book is enigma because it is the
perfect combination of the words “thriller” and “mysterious”. If you love books that have you weeping on
your knees but can’t stop turning pages, The Maze Runner is the
book for you.
